Newcastle United striker Papiss Demba Cisse has pledged his future to the club, saying he hopes to remain at the Magpies for "many years".

Cisse, 26, has been a phenomenon at St James' Park since his arrival, scoring 13 goals in 14 league appearances, prompting rumours of a big-money move this summer.

The Senegalese striker, though, is happy to look to a long future at the club, revealing his Champions League ambitions for the Magpies.

"I am very happy in Newcastle and I want to stay there for many years," Cisse told Sky Sports News.

"We were close to a Champions League position so next season hopefully we will qualify for that and everyone will taste the Champions League. I am looking forward to next season."

Cisse missed a penalty on Saturday as Senegal ran out 3-1 winners in World Cup qualifying against Liberia. They now face Gambia in the second match of the group stage next weekend.
