Nasri reveals Euro dream

Samir Nasri has admitted it would be a dream to add Euro 2012 glory with France to his Premier League win with Manchester City.

France went some way to eradicating the woes of their past two tournaments, both horror shows at Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup, with a smooth passage through qualification.

Despite having a squad filled with talent, expectation is low for Les Bleus. Nasri suggests this may work in their favour and feels their campaign opener against England, one he is desperate to win, will set the tone.

"There is no big ogre in our group like Spain or Germany," Nasri told France Football. "But the first objective is to reach the quarter-finals.

"We're under less pressure than in 2008 when France were the second best team in the world. This time we are outsiders and the first match against England, will set the tone. We've had a good preparation. All the senior players had a good season and we are full of confidence."

Nasri played his part in City's march to the domestic title, justifying his decision to leave Arsenal, and he is eager to lift a second major prize.

He said: "Winning the Euro after the Premier League would be the ultimate dream. But we must beat England. If not, I will get it from every side when I return to City. I will be facing Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott and James Milner so we must win.

"But you have to take things one at a time and wait to see how it goes in the group stage."
