Krul shrugs off transfer talk
Netherlands keeper Tim Krul has brushed off speculation about his future, insisting he is happy at Newcastle.
The 24-year-old is part of the Dutch squad at Euro 2012, where he is understudy to Maarten Stekelenburg, but he has been questioned about his future.
A season of top-class performances have prompted talk of bids from Chelsea and Tottenham. Newcastle are well aware of the talent at their disposal and recently tied Krul to a five-year deal. It is a decision Krul does not regret as he sees a long-term future with the Magpies.
"It's all just talk," Krul said. "I've signed my five-year contract and I'm committed to Newcastle United.
"The club has not played in Europe for six years and I want to be a part of that.
"This club deserves European football. We've got everything, the stadium, the fans and an owner in Mike Ashley who's backing us."
