Lewandowski quiet on United talk

Poland forward Robert Lewandowski is refusing to be distracted by talk of a move to Manchester United.

Poland coach Franciszek Smuda set tongues wagging earlier this week when claiming the Borussia Dortmund striker was on his way to Old Trafford. Lewandowski did his cause no harm by bagging the opening goal of Euro 2012 in Poland's 1-1 draw with Greece.

Lewandowski was besieged by journalists following the game but he was not prepared to discuss his club situation during the tournament.

"I am so happy to score this goal in the opening match," Lewandowski said. "But I'm not going to concentrate on these issues (links with Manchester United).

"Euro 2012 is the priority. I'm totally focused on the national team."

Although he scored Poland's goal, the striker was left to rue missing a great headed chance. He said: "I did everything. I was just millimetres away but this is football and I hope next time I score.

"I regret that we did not take more of our chances in the first half. It could have been two or three nil but we still have a positive attitude."
