Ashley Cole departed England training early on Wednesday, while Liverpool's Martin Kelly did not feature.

Cole came into Euro 2012 under the cloud of a virus, but produced an excellent display in the 1-1 draw with France. Those who played against France took part in a warm-down session on Tuesday, before full training was resumed on Wednesday.

The squad looked in good spirits as the cameras were allowed in to watch the session, but eyebrows were raised as Cole walked off the pitch. Those fears were eased as Cole often does not complete full training sessions on consecutive days.

The Chelsea defender was soon followed off the pitch by Ashley Young, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joleon Lescott and James Milner, all of whom appeared to be heading for the pool following the 15 minutes of training open to the media.

Kelly, a late inclusion in the squad due to Gary Cahill's injury, sat out the session on account of a virus.

England are preparing to face Sweden on Friday, while France take on Group D leaders Ukraine on the same day.
