Bastian Schweinsteiger has cooled talk of a move to London after meeting Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich when the Russian visited Germany's Euro 2012 base earlier this week.

Abramovich spent time with the Bayern Munich midfielder, who missed the decisive penalty during the Champions League final which saw Chelsea lift the trophy for the first time.

However, the 27-year-old was quick to quell reports they had discussed a potential switch to Stamford Bridge.

"I was surprised to see him and wondered why he was here," Schweinsteiger said. "I've congratulated him and we had a brief chat. No, he didn't make me an offer."

"Roman Abramovich paid us a visit and had a talk with Bastian," Germany coach Joachim Low told Hamburger Abendblatt.

"They were having a laugh with each other, and Bastian congratulated him with the Champions League win. I don't think there's anything behind the meeting."
