Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has rubbished speculation Chelsea have placed an offer for highly-rated forward Stevan Jovetic.

Jovetic has been linked with a move away from the Artemio Franchi this summer, and fuelled exit rumours last week by refusing to commit his future to the Serie A club.

Reports in Italy state European champions Chelsea have since launched a £20 million bid for the 22-year-old, while Juventus are also thought to be interested. But Prade dismissed the claims.

"Absolutely not, it's not true," Prade told Radio 1. "We do not know anything about an offer from Chelsea or any other team, Italian or otherwise.

"We are waiting for the lad to return on July 1 and we will see what he has to say to us. But the rest is just gossip."

Last Thursday, Prade publicly stated Jovetic must make his intentions for next season known in order for Fiorentina to plan for the following season. Jovetic, who scored 14 goals in Serie A last term, is yet to comment on the speculation.
