Toby Alderweireld has ruled out a move away from Ajax this summer, amid speculation he would move to the Premier League to join Newcastle as Alan Pardew looks to bolster his squad.

Alderweireld impressed alongside Tottenham transfer target Jan Verthongen last season, scoring the winner in Ajax's 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the Europa League. However, the Belgian insists the reports linking him to an Eredivisie exit are wide of the mark.

"I will stay at Ajax, no matter what," Alderweireld told AD5. "Don't listen to all the rumours you hear."

Meanwhile, Newcastle boss Pardew remains committed to adding to the squad ahead of next campaign.

"We haven't lost anybody yet, despite all of the speculation," he told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle. "We're working to bring a couple of people to improve the squad.

"Mike [Ashley] has made it clear he is committed to the club and we are working through the process of bringing players in. Myself and Graham Carr are keeping an eye on the players we have been tracking during Euro 2012 and seeing how they have performed."

Newcastle have recently been heavily linked with Lille right-back Mathieu Debuchy and FC Twente striker Luuk De Jong.
