Manchester United will put the finishing touches to their pre-season preparations in a prestigious friendly with Barcelona.
Sir Alex Ferguson's Red Devils will travel to Sweden to face Barca in Gothenburg on Wednesday August 8.
"Manchester United against Barcelona is one of the top fixtures in world football and we are delighted to work with GotEvent to bring this match to the beautiful city of Gothenburg," United chief executive David Gill told the club's official website.
"We have a large following throughout Scandinavia and it's great that this match will form part of our preparations for the new season."
United's pre-season campaign will also take in games against Amazula FC, Ajax Cape Town and Shanghai Shenhua in July, while the Barcelona clash will follow on from a meeting with Valerenga on August 5.
The Red Devils will face Everton in their opening Premier League game on August 18.
