Spain, Italy, Portugal and Germany players dominate UEFA's squad of Euro 2012, which was named on Monday, with Andres Iniesta declared the Player of the Tournament.

Ten of the players who helped Spain to retain their European Championship trophy and clinch a unique trophy treble are included in the 23-man squad, while runners-up Italy are represented in goal, defence and attack.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the scorer of brilliant goal as Sweden picked up their only points of the group stage against France, makes the cut, but there is no place for Andriy Shevchenko, who scored twice for co-hosts Ukraine in their win against the Swedes.

Cristiano Ronaldo makes an inevitable appearance in attack, while Steven Gerrard is on the midfield list as the only English inclusion.

The squad in full is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Buffon (Ita), Casillas (Spa), Neuer (Ger)

Defenders: Pique (Spa), Coentrao (Por), Lahm (Ger), Pepe (Por), Ramos (Spa), Alba (Spa)

Midfielders: De Rossi (Ita), Gerrard (Eng), Xavi (Spa), Iniesta (Spa), Khedira (Ger), Busquets (Spa), Ozil (Ger), Pirlo (Ita), Xabi Alonso (Spa)

Forwards: Balotelli (Ita), Fabregas (Spa), Ronaldo (Por), Ibrahimovic (Swe), Silva (Spa)
