Santos starlet Paulo Henrique Ganso has turned down a new contract with the Brazilian club, opening the way for a potential move to the Premier League.

Ganso's current deal at the Vila Belmiro runs until February 2015, but speculation over his future has been fuelled after he rejected a new contract reported to be worth around £112,000 per month.

The highly-rated playmaker has been linked with a host of Europe's biggest clubs this summer including Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Real Madrid and Porto. Ganso, who has been capped eight times by Brazil, admits his destiny is uncertain.

"I didn't like the offer, I thought they would offer something better," he said.

"Regardless of that, you have to keep your cool to play football and let things happen naturally. I don't know what can happen, only God knows it. I hope I can remain calm to keep playing football."

Santos are currently in the relegation zone in Brazil's Campeonato, remaining winless after seven games.
