Rangers have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Coventry City for the transfer of John Fleck.

Fleck, 20, is to become the latest to leave Rangers, whose future as a newco is uncertain amid resistance from their Scottish counterparts about their re-entering the league.

The attacking midfielder made 18 SPL starts for Gers before spending the second half of last season on loan at Blackpool, where he appeared eight times.

Rangers issued a statement on their website on Wednesday announcing an agreement and also denying a newspaper report that made allegations regarding the club and Fleck.

The statement read: "An inaccurate media report this morning suggests the club is taking legal action against John Fleck over his move to Coventry City.

"Both clubs have in fact reached agreement for the transfer of the player and Coventry have recognised Rangers' rights as part of the process. A formal announcement will be made later today."
