West Ham United continued their pre-season friendly programme with a 1-1 draw at Boreham Wood on Tuesday.

The Hammers, fresh off their promotion from the Championship to the Premier League, fielded plenty of first-teamers as Sam Allardyce began to mould his team for their return to the top flight.

Most notable of those starters was Ricardo Vaz Te, who proved a central figure in the first half. The striker twice caused an injury scare in the first 15 minutes, but he recovered to cut inside and lay on the opening goal for Sam Baldock.

Allardyce named the likes of Jussi Jaaskelainen, Vaz Te and Mark Noble in his starting XI, before introducing the likes of Matt Taylor and Kevin Nolan in the second half.

The Hammers' lead was cancelled out six minutes after half-time when a defensive error gave Boreham Wood a two-on-one, but West Ham should have won it at the death when Nolan's header hit the woodwork.
