Borini 'seriously considering' Liverpool move
The agent of Fabio Borini has promised "more news in the coming days" regarding his potential transfer from Roma to Liverpool, revealing the striker is "seriously considering" the switch to Anfield.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers said on Monday that he plans to announce his first signing by the end of the week. The Liverpool boss also promised it would be one to excite the club's fans.
Borini has emerged as the most likely candidate, with Roma confirming on Tuesday that they have received an offer for the 21-year-old, who has worked with Rodgers in the past.
"There is a real interest from Liverpool for Borini," Roma director Walter Sabatini said. "We are currently evaluating the situation with the manager Franco Baldini.
Borini's agent, Marco De Marchi, has now added even more momentum to the potential transfer, hinting he may have concrete news in the coming days.
De Marchi told Radio Radio: "Roma has informed us of Liverpool's interest in the boy. Now it's up to Fabio to have his say."
He added on IlSussidiario.net: "We were alerted by Roma of the existence of this deal. I cannot honestly tell you the details but, as Sabatini has already said, we're now seriously considering it.
"Would the player want to go to Liverpool? Honestly, I don't want to commit myself as there will be more news in the coming days. Wait for that."
