Manchester United have named a youthful touring party for the opening half of their pre-season campaign, without those who participated in Euro 2012 and those taking part in the Olympic Games.

New signings Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell are among the squad and should make their first appearances in a United shirt on Saturday, while Bebe returns to the Red Devils' set-up. Dimitar Berbatov, who has indicated his desire to leave Old Trafford, was also in the 22-man squad.

With many first-team players unavailable, the tour offers several of those on the fringe of the senior squad the chance to impress.

Reserve captain Davide Petrucci will be looking to prove himself at first-team level, while the likes of Robbie Brady and Scott Wootton return from successful loan spells and plenty of eyes will be on Under-18 left-back Tyler Blackett, who is tipped to have a bright future.

United play Amazulu FC on Wednesday before taking on Ajax Cape Town on Saturday. The tour then moves on to China, where they will meet Shanghai Shenhua on the following Wednesday.

Travelling party: Lindegaard, Amos, Johnstone, Ferdinand, Veseli, Vermijl, Wootton, Blackett; Valencia, Anderson, Carrick, Scholes, Powell, Kagawa, Bebe, Tunnicliffe, Lingard, Brady, Petrucci; Berbatov, Chicharito, Macheda.
