Tottenham have suffered a blow with news Atletico Madrid target Adrian Lopez has stressed that he is not looking to leave the club.

Striker Adrian, currently part of Spain's Olympic squad, has been linked with Arsenal and Spurs, but Atletico boss Diego Simeone recently warned that he was not for sale.

Adrian, 24, has now said he is happy at the club and is unaware of any talks over a potential sale.

"I'm very happy at Atletico and, as far as I know, the only negotiations that are open with the club are regarding my contract renewal," he was quoted as telling Europa Press. "I don't know anything more about any other offers.

"I have a contract with Atleti and I've got three more years here. Now I only want to think about the national team and it isn't the moment to talk about rumours and things that come out in the papers."

Adrian joined Atletico from Deportivo La Coruna last year and scored 18 goals in his debut campaign.
