Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has confirmed that Chelsea are yet to table an improved offer for Victor Moses.

Chelsea have failed in three previous bids for the Nigeria international, and Whelan warned last week that the Latics would not accept an offer of less than £10 million.

But despite widespread speculation that a new offer had been submitted, Whelan confirmed to ESPN that they had yet to hear from the Blues.

"Everyone keeps telling me Chelsea have come up with a new offer, but we have yet to hear from them," he told ESPN.

Whelan also confirmed Wigan have lodged a £4 million bid for Real Mallorca centre-back Ivan Ramis. Latics manager Roberto Martinez added Aberdeen midfielder Fraser Fyvie to his squad last week and hopes to follow that up with the capture of Ramis, who has interested Sunderland, Aston Villa and Swansea.

Whelan said: "We have made a bid in the region of £4 million, and we are waiting to see if it will be accepted."

The 27-year-old defender has plenty of experience in La Liga, having played almost 200 games for Mallorca and Valladolid.
