Cahill open to Everton loan return

Everton may not have seen the back of Tim Cahill with the midfielder admitting he would be open to the prospect of a return to Goodison Park on loan.
The 32-year-old brought the curtain down on a superb eight-year spell at Goodison Park when signing for the New York Red Bulls, but there could well be an encore if the two clubs can thrash out a deal in January.
He said: "I am totally focused on the Red Bulls but if we could find a happy medium that would suit both clubs then, maybe, I could go back on loan."
Once he had made up his mind to move, Cahill has insisted there was never any chance of him playing for a Premier League rival of Everton.
He said: "I'm very loyal to every club I've played for. I did not entertain the idea of joining another English club.
"I could not have seen myself running out and playing against Everton."
