Michael Laudrup has suggested Scott Sinclair will not be persuaded to make a move to Manchester City.

Sinclair has revived his career at Swansea, having seen it stall after failing to make the breakthrough at Chelsea, and he made a big impression in the Premier League last term.

The winger is in the final year of his contract and it is being claimed City boss Roberto Mancini has been alerted to the situation.

Laudrup has not spoken to Sinclair since taking charge, but is due to sit down with the midfielder this week and is confident he will not turn his back on Swansea.

"Scott is the only one I have not spoken to yet," Laudrup told Sky Sports News. "I will have a possibility to talk this week. We will talk about what he wants."

Laudrup is not surprised that the likes of Sinclair and Joe Allen are attracting attention, as he said: "When you have talented players in the first year in the Premier League, it is normal other clubs show interest. We have heard it with Joe Allen and some other players.

"One things is rumours, another is what is going to happen in the end. I look at it as it could be an interest. But I think he is happy here, he is a very important player for the team.

"When bigger clubs have interest in you it is nice, but you have to look at the other players that are playing in your position at bigger clubs.

"I think he will stay here, he is happy here."
