Love listens to Woods over wildcard decision

Tiger Woods has revealed he has advised United States Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III on who to give his four wildcard selections to.
Love has four discretionary picks to award the day after the conclusion of this week's Deutsche Bank Championship, which finishes on Monday to coincide with American Labor Day.
As many as six American players can consider themselves to have a good chance at getting a pick, including Steve Stricker, Jim Furyk, Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson.
Woods, a 14-time major champion, can sit back and watch the action unfold - having already guaranteed his spot at Medinah after topping the qualification standings. He is taking an active interest, however, offering his thoughts to Love on who else should make the 12-man team.
"I have, yes," Woods said, when asked if he's spoken with Love. "Am I going to divulge anything? No. That's where it ends."
Woods was speaking at a charity event with close friend Notah Begay, who had his own thoughts on who should be selected.
"What I think is in the best interest of the US side is to find pairings that create good chemistry," Begay said. "Tiger and Stricker have had a nice run. Tiger and Furyk have had a nice run. I'd put those two on the team based on performance and leaderboard.
"And I'm a chemistry guy, so Rickie is a positive choice, too."
Love has previously said strong recent form and experience will be his key considerations when he makes his final selections, encouraging news for recent tour winners like Nick Watney.
"It's whoever's hot," Love said, "and obviously we'll lean toward experience."
