Man United meet Newcastle in Capital One Cup

Manchester United will host Newcastle in the biggest game of the Capital One Cup third round, while another of the all-Premier League ties sees Manchester City face Aston Villa.

Liverpool will begin their defence of the Capital One Cup with a trip to West Brom, against whom they have already lost this season. Baggies boss Steve Clarke was assistant manager to Kenny Dalglish as the Reds lifted the cup at Wembley in February with victory over Cardiff.

Elsewhere, Coventry are faced with a daunting trip to Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal, while two all-Premier League encounters see QPR host Reading and Wigan travel to West Ham.
