Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has admitted he has no idea where striker Dimitar Berbatov is.

Berbatov appears to be on the verge of joining Fulham after failing to show at Fiorentina after the Serie A side had an offer accepted by United.

Ferguson expects to lose the striker he bought from Tottenham in £30 million, but has no idea of his whereabouts, and admitted he would not be surprised if the Bulgarian ended up at Tottenham.

"He has not gone yet. I don't know anything about it, there hasn't been any contact whatsoever from him," Ferguson said.

"According to Fiorentina he was supposed to be on a plane and we thought that too, we though he was in Italy. But it has turned out he is not in Italy.

"He could be anywhere to be honest with you. I really mean that. I wouldn't be surprised if he was at Tottenham."
