Hernandez finalises Swansea switch, Baggies get Popov

Swansea City have moved to replace Scott Sinclair, who has joined Manchester City, by bringing in winger Pablo Hernandez from Mallorca.

Hernandez, 27, joins for a club-record fee of £5.55m and has penned a three-year contract with Michael Laudrup's side.

Goran Popov has moved to West Bromwich Albion on loan for the season, with a view to a permanent deal. Popov, still owned by Dynamo Kiev, was a recent target for Stoke City.

Chelsea attacker Gael Kakuta will spend the rest of the season on loan at Eredivisie side Vitesse.

Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that striker Jay Bothroyd has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan until January, while Southampton have given Billy Sharp to Nottingham Forest for the remainder of the campaign.

Everton have swooped for Kilmarnock youngster Matthew Kennedy, securing his signature for a nominal fee.

Striker Nicky Maynard has swapped West Ham for Cardiff on a permanent deal.

The Toffees later confirmed Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe will be joining them on a season-long loan from Club Brugge.

Meanwhile, in Scotland, Rangers have confirmed the signing of winger David Templeton from Hearts, while Australian Ruan McGowan turned down a move to the Third Division club.
