Chamakh not suffering from malaria

Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has been unable to report for international duty with Morocco because of a virus and not, as first reported, because he had contracted malaria.
Chamakh, who has yet to feature for Arsenal's first team this season, was missing from the bench for the victory against Liverpool at the weekend adding to the speculation regarding his health.
The 28-year-old had been recalled to his national team for the first time since being dropped during the 2012 African Nations Cup finals in Gabon but could not travel because of illness.
Chamakh - who joined Arsenal from Bordeaux in May 2010 - will be hoping for a chance to revive his career at Arsenal following the sale of fellow striker Robin van Persie to Manchester United.
