New Manchester United signing Angelo Henriquez is realistic about life at his new club and knows there is plenty of room for improvement before he is ready for the step up to the first team.

Henriquez, 18, signed for United from Universidad de Chile for an undisclosed fee after the club had had a first option agreement on the player for four years. The striker made the move after one season in the senior set-up at the Chilean club, where he scored 11 goals in 17 games.

Yet despite being regarded as one of the hottest young talents in South America he is unlikely to break into the United first team for some time - something the player is fully aware of.

"I'm training and looking to get an opportunity," he told Radio Bio Bio. "There are many things I have to improve to reach the level of Manchester United forwards.

"I won't ask to be given some minutes and nor will I pretend I'm better than I really am. I have to go step by step. I have to adapt and improve physically."
