On a day that saw Manchester United, Newcastle and Spurs win, while Arsenal & Manchester City drew, we round-up the best Premier League moments...

A fitting tribute
Liverpool and Manchester United both helped to pay a fitting tribute on Sunday to the 96 who lost their lives at Hillsborough, started by a joint-interview involving Brendan Rodgers and Sir Alex Ferguson, and followed by a gesture made from Sir Bobby Charlton to Ian Rush. Ninety-six balloons were released into the air prior to kick-off as Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra shook hands, and then both sides put on an absorbing contest worthy of the occasion.

Two wrongs do make a right
Jonjo Shelvey was stupid for getting sent off in the manner that he did during Sunday's clash - launching into a, dare we say it, Steven Gerrard-like lunge on Jonny Evans. However, for our money, Evans simply held a mirror up to Shelvey by doing exactly the same thing, yet Mark Halsey only punished the Liverpool man. Strange.

Keepers wrong-footed
All three goals at Anfield came via the left boot, despite the first two being scored by naturally right-sided players in Steven Gerrard and Rafael da Silva. All the while, the sweetest left peg in the country (maybe) watched from home as Stewart Downing failed to make the matchday squad.

Turned a corner?
Much has been made of Arsenal's defensive improvement this season, masterminded by new assistant Steve Bould - but all the old faults were in evidence as Manchester City took the lead at the Etihad. Kieran Gibbs conceded a needless corner, the ball shooting off his head at an awkward angle and trickling behind; then Vito Mannone flapped at the delivery, allowing Joleon Lescott to steer in a simple header. Bould will need a consoling hug from Tony Adams to shake the memory out of his system.

Gervin-oh no
Arsenal forward Gervinho has had a pretty decent season so far, but he was not at the races as City drew with the Gunners. The writing was on the wall early in the fixture when he miscontrolled horribly when clean through on Joe Hart, and a dire performance was given a fitting swansong when he tackled Aaron Ramsey, his team-mate, in the second period. Somehow he avoided the hook when Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott were subbed on.
