Agger signs new deal at Liverpool

Daniel Agger has signed a new long-term deal at Liverpool.
The Danish defender's future at Anfield had been in doubt, as he was in the final year of his contract and had been linked with a move away.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had spoken of his confidence that Agger would remain with the club and this paid off as Agger put his name to a long-term commitment on Friday.
"It means everything to me," Agger told the club's official website. "This is where I want to be and I'm happy the club want me. I am really happy right now. I've never wanted to go anywhere else.
"I feel I am a part of this club - and I want to be a part of this club in the future. I feel I belong here and as long as the manager and the owners want me, I'll be here."
Agger joined Liverpool from Brondby and has made 177 appearances for the club.
