Pulis: Punish Suarez for diving

Stoke manager Tony Pulis has called for the FA to punish Liverpool striker Luis Suarez for diving in the 0-0 draw at Anfield on Sunday.

The Uruguayan collapsed in the Stoke box near Marc Wilson and Dean Whitehead, to the fury of Pulis.

And he believes the game's governing body should study the incident and take action against the Liverpool striker.

He said: "Retrospective decisions are made on a Monday and Luis Suarez should be punished. The one in the penalty box was an embarrassment and how he wasn't booked I don't know."

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said: "I haven't seen the incident but I think whatever Luis does there will always be a problem, whether it is with the media or referees. I thought he was terrific with his movement and combinations."

The draw means Liverpool have only won two home league games in 2012 and Rodgers added: "We are obviously disappointed we didn't win but the attitude and application of the players was terrific. We had so much dominance in the game.

"This is a club that has won only two home league games at Anfield in the calendar year so to still get the backing of the supporters with that kind of record... There's not many clubs that would get that. The supporters were incredible."
