Hodgson gives Jenkinson taste of England training

Arsenal's Carl Jenkinson trained with the England senior side on Sunday, as Roy Hodgson attempts to persuade the full-back to choose the Three Lions over Finland.
Jenkinson, 20, was born in Harlow but has represented the Scandinavian nation at Under-19 and Under-21 level, although he is yet to be called up to the senior squad.
Seemingly impressed by his form for the Gunners this season, England head coach Hodgson has now brought Jenkinson in to experience training with the rest of the squad - perhaps with a view to calling him up for next month's friendly against Sweden.
The former West Brom manager has previously indicated that Jenkinson was on his radar, but a cap in a competitive match for Finland would render the youngster ineligible for the country of his birth.
With England training at Arsenal's London Colney base, however, bringing Jenkinson in was convenient for all parties.
"[Kieron] Gibbs and Jenkinson have done exceptionally well for Arsenal," Hodgson said earlier this month. "Jenkinson was a player we thought a lot about but decided we didn't have quite that many places.
"He is certainly a player we will think about for the future."
Jenkinson has not been added to the England squad, however, and will not travel with the rest of the players when they head to Poland for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier.
