Jack Wilshere put another 90 minutes under his belt as Arsenal's Under-21 side beat their Everton counterparts 2-1.

The England international has been feeling his way back from a serious ankle injury and took his place on the bench for the first team at the weekend. Wilshere did not see any action in the defeat to Norwich, with manager Arsene Wenger describing his young charge as "80 per cent fit".

Wenger felt Wilshere needed one more game before being considered for first-team action, and that outing came at Everton's Finch Farm base on Monday.

Wilshere was in the thick of the action, putting in challenges, riding tackles and dictating play.

Arsenal fell behind early on but after drawing level, Wilshere fashioned the winning goal for Thomas Eisfeld. He cut in from the right and drew his marker before teeing up Eisfeld for his second goal of the match.

Along with Wilshere, Bacary Sagna and Emmanuel Frimpong got through 90 minues and all three are likely to be available to Wenger in the near future.
