Chelsea sweat on Lampard injury
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will have a scan on Wednesday to determine the extent of his calf injury.
Lampard last just 15 minutes of Chelsea's loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League before limping out of the action.
Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo confirmed it is a recurrence of the injury that forced Lampard to sit out England's recent World Cup qualifiers but is unsure of the extent of the damage.
Confirming the midfielder would undergo a scan - the results of which will be revealed on Thursday - Di Matteo said: "It's basically a recurrence of an old injury.
"He was training with us fine and there were no alarm bells before the game. He was in good condition to play."
Di Matteo admitted the loss of Lampard hurt the Blues in Ukraine. He said: "'The preparation took into consideration Willian, to have Ramires on the right to control that situation. Then we thought it was the right choice to put on Hazard but we were too individualistic in our pressing in the first half, and too stretched as a team which conceded space to Shakhtar."
