Swansea lose Vorm for up to six weeks
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has revealed goalkeeper Michel Vorm will be out for four to six weeks after sustaining a groin injury during the 1-0 defeat at Manchester City.
Vorm had to be substituted after he sustained the injury while attempting to stop Carlos Tevez's winning goal on Saturday. He was replaced by Gerhard Tremmel.
Laudrup said: "It is his groin, so we are talking four to six weeks, but that's a part of football, that is what can happen in December, January with the weather, the accumulation of games. That's a part of it."
Swansea now face a testing week, with a trip to Liverpool in the Capital One Cup followed by a Premier League game at home to Chelsea, and Laudrup is hopeful that former Red Bull Salzburg goalkeeper Tremmel will be up to the task.
"Now Gerhard has to be ready, starting with the Liverpool and Chelsea games," he said.
