Skrtel firm on Anzhi rumours
Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has shrugged off speculation linking him with a move to Europa League opponents Anzhi Makhachkala.
Skrtel, 27, recently extended his Anfield contract - but that has not stopped reports suggesting that the heavily-funded Russian club, coached by Guus Hiddink, would move to sign him.
As Brendan Rodgers and his team prepared for their Europa clash with Anzhi on Thursday, Sun quoted Skrtel as saying: "I have just extended my Liverpool contract, and I am very satisfied. Let's leave it at that."
Slovakia international Skrtel used to play in Russia, spending a spell at Zenit St Petersburg, but stressed: "I'm not going to leave Liverpool for another club.
"I'm comfortable at Liverpool, so forget about the news that I will move to Anzhi."
