Chinese Super League side Guizhou Renhe have claimed they are in talks with Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

Lampard, 34, is out of contract at Stamford Bridge next year and, with the Blues having a policy of offering only one-year deals to players over 30, has been linked with a move to either China or the MLS.

On Monday, it was reported in the Sun that Renhe were putting together a £250,000 a week package to lure Lampard to Asia in January.

And fuel has been added to the fire by Renhe who have claimed they are talking to Lampard.

"Yes, we are in contact with Lampard but so far nothing has been settled," said deputy board chairman Yang Xiayou.

Renhe chairman Dai Yongge was quoted in a Chinese newspaper as saying the midfielder would be named captain when he moves in January.
