Joe Hart has declared that he and his Manchester City team-mates possess a winning mentality after their latest comeback victory.

The Premier League champions trailed Tottenham 1-0 on Sunday but recovered to win 2-1, courtesy of substitute Edin Dzeko's 88th-minute decider.

It was the fourth time already this season that Roberto Mancini's team have claimed maximum points in a game they had been losing.

And goalkeeper Hart believes it is proof of the character that City possess. He said: "It's just instilled in the people. It's a group of winners. Twenty players who play to win and we're lucky with that."

It brought mentions of City's local rivals Manchester United, who have also forged a reputation for making comebacks, but Hart rejected the comparison.

"That's what they do. We're our own team now," Hart said. "We're developing a real identity and I think this is what we do.

"The spirit has never been in question. We have that and we have quality. Those two combined makes us the team we are. With the quality and the spirit, we're not here for anything else other than to win. We don't turn up to tick boxes or make people happy, we turn up to win."

Hart praised Dzeko, who has been a scoring substitute in each of City's comeback victories this season, saying: "He's just a good player and when he comes on he does well. Sometimes it's off the bench, sometimes it's when he starts, but he's a very good player and he scores goals."
