Gouffran keen to drum up Premier League offers
Bordeaux forward Yoan Gouffran is considering leaving the club in the summer and would relish a move to the Premier League.
Gouffran's contract at the club expires next summer and, while talks with the 2009 Ligue 1 champions are ongoing, the lure of a move to England remains.
"We are in talks with the club and the president [Jean-Louis Triaud]," the 26-year-old said. "We'll see in a few days if I make a decision. For now, nothing is sure. I always said I wanted to try playing in Premier League and discover something else."
Aston Villa and Sunderland were both reportedly interested in Gouffran in the summer after he had scored 14 league goals last season.
"I need appropriate offers, I need a great challenge. If I leave Bordeaux, I want to play," he said. ''I'm thinking maybe it's the right time to leave. I've been at Bordeaux for five years - it's maybe time to experience something else.
" I have friends in England who talked to me about this league and it's making me want to go there."
