Former England manager Glenn Hoddle is being considered for the vacant Ukraine job along with Harry Redknapp, ESPN understands.

While Redknapp's agent is currently in Ukraine discussing the possibility of the former Spurs boss taking charge, Hoddle has received a number of calls suggesting he could be in the frame if he is interested.

Hoddle also turned down an approach to become the Dynamo Kiev coach recently.

An ESPN source said: "Glenn Hoddle is much in demand, and although he has rejected many jobs in the past, there is a feeling that if he was offered the right job he could be enticed back into management.

"All I can tell you is that there has been calls to Glenn Hoddle's representatives asking whether he would be interested in the Ukraine job."

Hoddle has rejected nearly 30 managerial job offers in recent years to concentrate on his football academy in Spain. He was recently approached by Blackburn and had an interview with Nottingham Forest.

So far, none of those projects have interested the ex-Southampton and Tottenham manager, but the indications are that he could be enticed out of his self-imposed exile if the right project does materialise.

Ukraine's hopes of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup Finals already appear to be slim; the Euro 2012 hosts are winless in Group G, having drawn away to England and Moldova, and lost at home to Montenegro.
