Disappointed Milner demands goals from Man City

James Milner says Manchester City need to be more ruthless in order to turn domination into victories.

City were held to a 0-0 draw at Chelsea on Sunday and midfielder Milner believes the Premier League champions were the better team.

They retain the only unbeaten record in the Premier and Football Leagues this season but have drawn five of their 13 matches. In addition to the Chelsea game, City have dropped points against Liverpool, Stoke, Arsenal and West Ham as well as drawing all three home games in the Champions League.

Milner told the club's official website: "We played a good game and didn't quite get the three points. That's something we need to work on. When we are on top in games we are not quite putting teams to bed like we should be and hopefully we can improve on that.

"It's a positive thing that we got a point at Stamford Bridge and we have come away disappointed. We were the better side, we had the better chances and we restricted them to not too many."

Milner, who came in for Samir Nasri, was one of City's better players and added: "We were pretty solid and moved the ball around pretty well and tried to be positive. It just didn't happen for us at the business end.

"Any time you are coming away from a ground like this against the European champions and are disappointed you didn't get the win, it is a positive thing."
