Beckham considering Premier League offers

David Beckham has confirmed he is considering offers from Premier League clubs as he plots what could be the final move of his playing career.

Beckham, 37, will leave the Los Angeles Galaxy after the weekend's MLS Cup final, following a six-year stay at the American side.

Clubs from Australia, France, China and beyond have been linked with a move for the former England midfielder, but Beckham has admitted the chance to return to the Premier League is one move he is still weighing up.

"I'm lucky. At the age of 37 I've been offered some quite exciting options and there are a few options on the table," Beckham told Sky Sports News.

QPR have been strongly linked with a move for Beckham since Harry Redknapp's arrival as manager but, while Beckham acknowledged he had received offers from English clubs, he repeated past comments that his long and successful spell at Manchester United made it difficult for him to consider turning out for another English side.

"I always said I'd struggle to come back and play in England because I've played for the biggest club in the world and biggest club in England - Manchester United," he noted. "So I couldn't see myself playing for any other Premier League club, but you never know. I've got options on the table."

Beckham has been touched by the amount of praise he has received from managers in the game, including Redknapp and Paris St Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti. Redknapp allowed Beckham to train with his Tottenham squad at the start of 2011 - although a mooted loan move never materialised - while Ancelotti and Beckham worked together briefly at AC Milan in 2009.

"What I am touched about is that I've got great managers - Harry and Ancelotti saying great things about me," Beckham said. "Not saying they would like to sign me but saying nice things about me.

"I spent a few months with Harry at Tottenham, and he doesn't have to say those things. It's nice to see them talking about me in such a nice way."

Indeed, a move to Paris - a short train journey away from England - would seem a strong possibility for the one-time Real Madrid star, after he revealed that a desire for his children to spend more time with their relatives was a primary consideration.

"I do think I'll be spending more time in England, though, and it's good for our kids to see their grandparents," he added.
