Charl Schwartzel completed one of the most dominant performances of the season with an 11-shot victory at the Thailand Golf Championship on Sunday.

Schwartzel, leader from start to finish at Amata Spring Country Club, carded his third round of 65 in four to finish in a class of his own at 25-under.

It was the South African's first victory since claiming The Masters in April 2011.

"It's been a while and I have been knocking on the door for quite some time," Schwartzel said afterwards. "Winning is not as easy as everyone thinks it is.

"It's nice to finish the year with a nice win here and play some decent golf."

This year's winner at Augusta, Bubba Watson, came through the field to steal a share of second place alongside local favourite Thitiphun Chuayprakong - with both players finishing 14-under.

Sergio Garcia was on his own in fourth, with Simon Dyson also inside the top ten. But Dyson's compatriot Lee Westwood had to settle for a share of 11th, after a third round of 70.

Elsewhere, 53-year-old Peter Senior mastered difficult conditions to claim the Australian Open at The Lakes.

John Senden and Justin Rose had been atop the leaderboard heading into the final day, but strong winds played havoc - as Senior used his experience to card a level par round of 72 and win the tournament at four-under, just ahead of fellow Australian Brendan Jones.
