Benitez confident of second CWC success

Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez is eager to bring the FIFA Club World Cup to England for only the second time - and repeat his feat of winning the competition with Inter Milan two years ago.

Benitez's Inter side beat Congolese side TP Mazembe in the final in the United Arab Emirates in 2010 - which turned out to be his final game in charge of the Serie A side before being sacked. Now he will look to emulate Manchester United's achievement of 2008 and win the title for a Premier League side.

Chelsea begin their campaign on Thursday with a game against Mexican side Monterrey in Yokohama, and they will then face either South American champions Corinthians or Egypt's Al-Ahly in the third place play-off or final on Sunday.

"With the economic crisis around the world everybody is under pressure," Benitez said. "I don't have a problem with pressure. The future is the next game and the one after that.

"It's a massive competition. Everybody here has the same idea as me - to win every trophy. It doesn't matter if we are in the Champions League or not. It's a great opporunity and we're here to win. We won our last two games and we're playing well."

Fernando Torres ended a personal Premier League goal drought of 12-and-a-half hours with a brace in Saturday's 3-1 win at Sunderland, and Benitez hopes it is the start of the striker's return to form.

"Fernando is in a good position now because the team is creating more chances and because the team is doing well," Benitez added. "I can communicate with him in a different way and work with him but the main thing is his team-mates are playing well."
