Asmir Begovic insists he is committed to Stoke City despite being flattered by reports of interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The Potters' goalkeeper has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool since cementing his status as Stoke's No. 1 ahead of Thomas Sorensen.

And while reports at the weekend suggesting an imminent bid from Manchester United may be wide of the mark, the Bosnian admits he has career ambitions to play at highest level.

"It's very flattering," Begovic told Sky Sports News. "It's positive feedback from other teams that people are looking at you and mentioning you with those teams.

"It's no secret that everyone has their own ambitions and they want to be playing at the highest level possible.

"But right now I'm just focused on taking Stoke forward and I think the club here has a lot of ambitions; the chairman, the manager and everyone else included.

"So we just want to keep pushing this club forwards and see how far we can take it."

The 25-year-old's stock has skyrocketed thanks to the eight clean sheets he has kept for Stoke so far this season, his latest coming against Aston Villa on Saturday.

"It matters a lot to us, especially us at the back," he added. "It's what we work for and that's our main goal of the game."
