Park unable to help struggling QPR

Queens Park Rangers club captain Park Ji-Sung will miss Saturday's Premier League clash against Fulham with a knee injury.

QPR, winless and rock bottom of the league table, set a new record last weekend when they failed to win for a 16th game, only managing a 2-2 draw with Wigan.

And their search for three points is not helped by injuries to first-team players. Park joins strikers Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson on the treatment table.

Former Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar is fit again after a groin injury giving manager Harry Redknapp the option of recalling the Brazilian or keeping faith with Robert Green.

Redknapp, meanwhile, is targeting two wins over the Christmas period in order for QPR to give themselves a fighting chance of survival.

Rangers find themselves eight points adrift of Aston Villa in 17th but Redknapp, who inherited the side already struggling, insists he is doing all he can to secure safety.

He told the London Evening Standard: "What can people do if you fail, is someone going to shoot me? I have inherited what I have, I can't do anything about that. I haven't gone out and bought the players and put the team together. I can only do my best, they can't kill me, can they?

"The Christmas period is crunch time. If we pick up a few points, get in touch with the others, we give ourselves a chance. They will have to start looking behind them. Two wins and it's a different game."
