France international Bafetimbi Gomis has admitted he is flattered by reports linking him with Chelsea and Liverpool.

The forward has impressed for Lyon, with his displays for club and country drawing comparisons with Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Reports claim that Chelsea are looking to bring in cover for Fernando Torres, while it is well documented that Liverpool are short of attacking options.

There has been no word from the two clubs, but the reports have filtered their way through to Gomis.

"The interest is flattering," Gomis told Canal+. "I'm happy. If the three parties are okay and I can progress, then yes.

"These are big names [Liverpool and Chelsea]. But I do not fill my mind with the idea of a transfer. Things change very quickly in football."
