Allardyce set to get new Hammers deal
West Ham United co-owner David Gold has revealed it is "highly likely" that manager Sam Allardyce will be at the club next season.
Allardyce's current contract expires in the summer, and the 58-year-old is yet to hold formal talks over a new deal at Upton Park.
However, Gold said that the chances of Allardyce carrying on in the job he has been doing for 18 months into the 2013-14 season are high.
"It's highly likely that Sam will be with us next season," Gold said via his Twitter account. "He likes us, we like him. That's a good basis for an ongoing relationship."
Former Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers boss Allardyce took over in the summer of 2011, replacing Avram Grant after the Hammers were relegated from the Premier League.
Allardyce led them straight back up to the top flight via the play-offs, where they have spent the first half of this season comfortably clear of the relegation places.
