Redknapp drafts in familiar face Ben Haim
Queens Park Rangers have signed centre-back Tal Ben Haim until the end of the season.
Israel international Ben Haim, 30, had been without a club after his controversial exit from financially troubled League One club Portsmouth in August and has been training at Loftus Road for the last six weeks.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp, who had recently spoken of his desire to add to his defensive options, believes Ben Haim will be a big boost in the battle against relegation.
"Tal's a great professional with vast experience and I'm confident he'll be a really useful addition to the squad," Redknapp told the club's official website. "His attitude is first class and the fact he can play anywhere across the back four is obviously a big bonus for us.
"He just wants to play. He's not here for the money or anything like that. He just wants to come in and do his best for the club."
In addition to his three years with Portsmouth, Ben Haim has played for Bolton, Chelsea, Manchester City, Sunderland and West Ham since arriving in England from Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2003.
