Keane rules out Premier League loan return
Robbie Keane has ruled out returning to the Premier League on loan after revealing he has signed a new contract at Los Angeles Galaxy.
Keane spent six weeks of last season on loan at Aston Villa and indicated towards the end of last year that he would consider a similar spell in a bid to keep sharp for international duty with Republic of Ireland.
Queens Park Rangers had been linked with a bid for Keane, but the forward has dashed any hopes of a return to the Premier League by claiming his body needs a break.
"It's been a long season, with the Euros and what have you," Keane told Sky Sports. "I've a few little niggles that need to be sorted out so I don't think at this moment in time it would be right for me to go anywhere."
Commenting on his situation at LA Galaxy, Keane said: "I had another year left and they offered me a new contract at the end of last season. I've just signed a new two-year contract."
