Tottenham Hotspur are not in the race to sign Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer window, ESPN understands.

Zaha is one of the most highly-coveted young talents in England, with several top Premier League clubs all believed to be hoping to sign the 20-year-old in the summer if not before.

Premier League leaders Manchester United, champions Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with the Ivory Coast-born England international along with Tottenham.

However, ESPN has learned that Spurs are not in the market for Zaha, who is valued by Palace at £20 million.

Palace chairman Steve Parish is confident of keeping hold of his club's prize asset until the summer at least.

"Right now, we're concentrating on trying to get out of this league and the best way of doing that is adding to what we've got, not losing players," he told talkSPORT last week. "I think he will be a Palace player until the summer and then we will look at it. Obviously, we will look at anything that anybody offers us because we would be mad not to.

"If we feel we can move the club forward from doing certain things, then we will. So, never say never. But, right now, we are focused on trying to keep everyone in the squad."

Zaha has scored five league goals this season, just one shy of his tally in the competition for the whole of last term.

Born in the Ivorian capital Abidjan, Zaha moved to south-east London as a four-year-old. He represented England at various youth levels before making his senior debut against Sweden last November. However, because that match was a friendly fixture, he is still currently eligible to switch allegiance to the country of his birth.
