Osasuna left winger Roland Lamah looks set to sign for Swansea after the La Liga club gave him permission to travel to Wales to discuss a move.

Ivory Coast-born Belgium international Lamah missed his side's spirited 0-0 draw with Real Madrid on Saturday evening as he was reportedly in the UK with his agent discussing a move to join Michael Laudrup's growing ex-La Liga contingent at the Liberty Stadium.

Pamplona-based paper Noticias de Navarra reported on Monday that no deal had yet been agreed between the clubs, but a six-month loan deal with an option for Swansea to make the move permanent by paying €2.5 million next summer had been discussed.

Lamah, signed from Le Mans for €1 million in August 2012, played 30 times for Osasuna last season, scoring one goal. He has made 15 appearances so far this season, scoring twice and providing two assists, but has played the full 90 minutes on only two occasions. His current contract, which runs until June 2014, reportedly contains a €7m release clause.

If Lamah does leave, Osasuna coach Jose Luis Mendilibar is expected to fill the space in his squad with a more defensive-minded midfielder.
