Blatter eyes career as TV pundit

Sepp Blatter has revealed he intends to become a football pundit when he steps down as FIFA president in 2015.

Blatter, who was re-elected in 2011, confirmed he will retire as the head of the global game at the end of his fifth term in two years' time but still intends to remain involved in the sport.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Blatter said a role in the media would be fulfilling a childhood dream.

"I would comment on the games but I would not say 'now he passes right or left' because everybody can see that on TV, but I would make my comments on tactics or techniques," Blatter said.

Blatter refused to accept the boos directed at him during the women's football medal ceremony at last year's London 2012 Olympics were because he is unpopular.

"This was just a very, I would say, a small boos," Blatter told Sky Sports News' Special Report. "Stars are always booed so I'm a star, you have to take it this way. I thought that the public in the Olympic Games, they would be a little bit better educated."
